After a combined 59 years in the classroom, Rebecca and Keven are both retiring from Logan City School District this year. We're collecting messages from the students, colleagues, friends, and family whose lives they've touched along the way.

Rebecca

Rebecca was born in Logan, Utah, and belongs to a family legacy of Logan City students that includes her father, all seven of her siblings, her own five children, and 18 nieces and nephews. She attended Utah State University, earning her bachelor's in Family & Consumer Sciences with a minor in Business Computer & Information Systems, and later her Master's of Education from her alma mater.

Her career began in 1996 teaching Technology and Business at Mount Logan Middle School. She taught FACS and Business from 1999 to 2018 and has been teaching College & Career Awareness and Digital Literacy ever since. Beyond the classroom, she advised the Yearbook Committee and the Drone Team and served on several committees.

Of all her contributions, Rebecca is most proud of having taught nearly every student across each grade level at Mount Logan — and knowing they carry those skills with them long after they leave. She'll miss watching students turn personal challenges into triumphs, and looks forward to spending more time with family, traveling, and exploring alongside Keven.

Keven

Keven was born in Logan, Utah, and lived here until he was 12. His mother and grandfather both attended Logan City schools, and when his family returned to Logan, Keven gladly carried on the tradition, graduating from Logan High School in 1979. He went on to Utah State University, earning a Bachelor's in Technology & Engineering Education with minors in Business and Marketing. He later earned his Master's in Education, his Administrative Certificate, and endorsements in Math, Physics, English as a Second Language, Computer Science, and a district-approved certification to teach Aviation.

Keven began teaching in 1997 at Farmington Junior High School, moved to Box Elder Middle School in 1998 where he taught for 18 years, and accepted a position at Logan High School in 2016. There he built the curriculum for and taught over 20 different Technology, Aviation, and Business courses.

He's most proud of the success of the Aviation program, which produced airplane and drone pilots — many of whom went on to complete training and degrees at USU. He'll miss his students the most, especially watching them accomplish great things, and looks forward to traveling and spending more time with his and Rebecca's children and grandchildren.
