Who knew my middle school math teacher ( whom in fact was the best math teacher ever) would be my husbands uncle? Congratulation on a job well done to both Kevin and Becky, I am sure your good influence on many students will be remembered for years to come!
Your patience and kindness was amazing when I had you as a teacher, and now that I too, teach middle school, is astounding! Happy retirement
Hi Becky, This was my tribute to you at the end of school lucheon:
Becky is a good example of putting her family first: she always is there to take care of her children and grandchildren when needed. She would use her medical days up every year to take care of others. Organized: Becky is completely organized and has everything ready to teach everyday. She makes it look so effortless but really runs a well oiled machine. She plans wells, thinks of everything ahead of time, and works to keep everything taken care of. First one done: if there is ever a dateline, Becky is done before everyone else. She sets up meetings with administrators, turns in paperwork, This also brings me to my next point: Becky implements everything asked of her immediately as well. Not only to make her a better teacher, but to be a team player and follow every program. She cares: if we ever discuss a student or problem, Becky is quick to try and help. Even after teaching for 30 years, she jumps to take care of things and runs circles around the rest of us.
Thank you for everything you have done for us and being a great mentor and friend.
Love, Mindy
Becky it has been a pleasure to work with you over the years. I wish you the very best as you transition to a much earned retirement! Congratulations on a job well done. You are amazing!
Congrats on your retirement. May you enjoy every moment of it! Love, Hal and Bev
Congratulations!!!!!! You have been such examples of great teaching
iβm so excited that you are retiring. You are going to have a blast! Love you dearly.
Dear Mrs. Kendall,
As I reflect on my time on Mount Logan Middle Schoolβs yearbook staff in the late nineties, I find myself thinking about how pivotal those years wereβand how much of that pivotal nature came directly from your guidance and mentorship.
You were more than a teacher and adviser. You created an environment where creativity flourished, where we learned not just the mechanics of yearbook production, but how to think, collaborate, and see possibility. Those lessons planted seeds that grew in ways I could never have fully imagined back then. The confidence you instilled, the standards you modeled, the belief you showed in what we could accomplish...all of it became the foundation for a career and life filled with experiences and successes that feel almost impossible to trace back to their roots. Yet I can see them clearly now, and they lead back to you.
I imagine that at this moment in your life, as you step into retirement, you have the remarkable vantage point to see the full landscape of what those seeds have become. Thousands of students touched by your dedication, their lives shaped by your investment in them, their own seeds now growing in fields youβll never fully see. That must be extraordinary, even overwhelming in the very best way. Itβs a testament to what truly special teachers do: they plant futures they may never witness, and that takes a particular kind of vision and heart.
Thank you for being that kind of teacher. Thank you for showing us what excellence, care, and belief in others looks like. As you and your husband enter this well-deserved season of rest and reflection, I wish you both tremendous joy and fulfillment in the years ahead. May your retirement be filled with the deep satisfaction of knowing that you have literally shaped the trajectory of thousands of lives.
With deep gratitude and warmest wishes,
Tyler Riggs
Becky - I appreciate how you were always cool headed and a rule follower which kept me out of trouble (most of the time). I remember when we interview you, I think you had five different jobs and you were in the middle of raising five kids of your own. You once did a quad dip like double dipping (getting paid twice for the same job) but you managed a quad it was a thing of beauty and a very productive day for you. I believe we taught in the same department for about 24 years plus or minus a few years.
Kevin - Thank you for welcoming me to the high school after I was fired from the middle school. You really helped me make that transition that gave me 7 more years of teaching. I learned very quickly that you volunteered to help others and it often involved me too. (How many school award plaques did you make?) One summer you called me and asked me what I was doing - and within the hour you came to my house to help me set horse panels which weighed several hundred pounds each. Kevin you also saved my bacon when you could do the math and the computer programing when we were in Colorado Springs. Otherwise I was going to retire before school even started and you even made me go to church while we there.
Both of you have impacted my life in ways you may not know, the home made chocolate candies at Christmas, someone to vent too in a safe environment when I didnβt agreed with the school administration (which was often) and for being my friends - Thank you
A word of warning - time goes by fast, everyday is a Saturday, you will busier retired than you were working. If your not reach out and I can train you. - Dave Anderson

Congratulations on retiring, Nana! Iβm so proud of you and everything youβve done. Youβve worked so hard for so many years, and now you finally get to relax and enjoy more time doing things you love. I hope retirement is fun, peaceful, and full of lots of good memories. Thank you for always being so amazing. I love you so much and Iβm really happy for you!
Becky always had a smile on her face and very kind. She would stop and visit when I saw her. I wish her many happy years to come and to live the best retirment life.
Keven and Becky,
Congratulations on retiring! Fifty-nine combined years of shaping young minds, building aviation programs, and teaching half of Logan how to sew, and your reward is, of course, more time with the grandkids. Frequently. With very little notice.
In all seriousness, the two of you are the reason this family runs the way it does, and I count myself lucky to have married into it. You've taught me more than you probably realize, mostly by example and occasionally by Keven handing me a tool and a 'here, hold this.'
You've earned every bit of this. Go travel, take the cruise, finish the woodshop projects (or strategically avoid them). Just keep your calendars open. We all know who's calling first. Love you both.
Congratulations on your wonderful carieers as Teachers! You have helped shape the lives of so many students. Over the next years as you are out and about in the community you will be amazed at how many kids you have taught will come up to you and thank you for how you have helped them! Enjoy your retirement! Love you two! Patricia & Seth Balls
Why am I not retiring with you??? I have loved working with both of you. We all worked on our Master's Degrees together and I probably couldn't have done it without Becky! I can remember trips to Texas and Vegas for CTE events. I remember when Becky told me she was pregnant with Morgan and we had a good laugh/cry at the situation! Keven is one of the most talented peole I know. It seemed he was always building something. Becky and Keven are the best parents and have a wonderful family. Enjoy all the "free time" to choose your own adventure. I will miss you both.
Congradulations to you both!
Becky, you have touched me with your kindness and your willingness to continue to learn new things!
Thanks for being great neighbors! Your fun breakfasts and wonderful dinners are always a treat for us. Happy Retirement to the both of you! We look forward to sharing your retirement years with you! Gary and Barbara
Congratulations Becky and Keven!!! I love that my kids have got to have you guys as teachers.
Love,
Katie
Congratulations you two!! You are some of my favorite people for sure. Becky it was truly an honor to work with you i witnessed first hand your love, kindness, passion and joy. You blessed the lives of so many many kids, as well as all the adults you were around. I knew that when i talked with you I would leave with a smile on my face. I hope you enjoy your next adventures!!! Kris and I send our love to you both. Congrats!
Congratulations on your retirement! You're going to love it. Let the adventures begin!
Congrats on your retirement! I never had Keven as a teacher but I had Becky as a teacher in 7th grade back in 2012. She was the first class I entered when I moved to MLMS. She made me feel welcomed in the classroom when I felt alone and scared and I'm so thankful for that. I loved taking her sewing class. As a result, sewing has become a lifelong passion of mine. I hope you both have a wonderful retirement and thank you guys for your years of knowledge.
Thank you for being a great teacher, Mrs. Kendall! You are always such a kind and positive person and deserve a great retirement. You taught me all sorts of new things to do with docs, slides, sheets, etc. that I had no idea about. You are very good at teaching, never getting frustrated when one doesn't understand the topic quite well, and you are always willing to give a helping hand. You are also great at recognizing those who help, often encouraging them, or rewarding them. You made classes interactive which probably helped some students understand better. Often when I am using Google Docs, I use the tools you taught me. You deserve a fun and awesome retirement. Best wishes, Eli.
I didnt have Keven as a teacher, I think i just missed him teaching at my school. I do love that Mike and him like to talk about Aviation. I love that Keven was able to take my husband and daughter out on a plane ride. My daughter talks about it often. Hopefully one day there will be another plane to go up in. I loved having Aunt Becky as my teacher in middle school! She was always so fun and happy! I remember she taught us how to boil water among other things. I looked forward to her class everyday. Then in 8th grade I was chosen to be on the yearbook staff which she was in charge of. I am so grateful she gave me the opportunity to be on her team. We had a great time.
I have many fond memories of playing at their house and running back and forth from Grandmas. They always had fun things to play with at their house. We have also traveled alot together and have witnesses many challenges (Broken Wagons) their family have overcome while on vacation. I hope we can continue to travel together and continue making memories. congrats on both of your retirements! Now the fun begins!
Congratulations on retirement!!! You've spent so long shaping young minds around you and I'm sure your impact will be felt for generations.
While I never had either of as an actual school teacher you both have taught ne so much over the last 17 years. You've both always been the heart that drives our amazing family and the biggest reason we all love being together so much.
From work hard, play hard, to giggling in the kitchen couldn't be prouder to you both in my life and the lives of my kids!
Congrats!!! Now go enjoy retirement!
Congrstulations to a wonderful couple. Three decades of teaching is a huge accomplishment. Becky is a great sister and my friend. Keven is a great wood craftsman and has shared his knowlege with others. We've made many memories over the years. Lots of them camping and four wheeling, reunions and visits. Enjoyyour retirement. It's the best. Adventure awaits!
After moving away from my family and friends in Box Elder county at 12 years old, I was NOT excited to start at a new school. But then my cousins told me that their aunt works at my new school, and I might be in her class! Sure enough, I walked into Becky's classroom on the first day and felt a little bit more at home. She recognized my last name, we made the connecton, and from there it was just easy.
Thank you for always making gour classroom so welcoming, and not just for me. Congratulations, to you both, on your retirement!
Becky, you are going to love retirement! You were wonderful to work with and i know your students loved you dearly. Now on to the next exciting chapter of your life. enjoy every single moment
There are far too many memories and lessons to fit into one letter β€οΈ. You have both been my greatest teachers throughout my entire life. Through your examples, you taught me the value of hard work πͺ, compassion π, service π€, perseverance, and unconditional love.
Everything you didβoften without even realizing itβhelped shape the person I am today. I truly would not be who I am without your guidance, support, and the countless sacrifices you made for our family. And of course, I know I was never a difficult child π.
You showed me what a strong and loving marriage looks like π, and somehow you made raising a family seem effortless π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦. Watching the two of you work together, support one another, and care so deeply for others gave me an example I will carry with me forever.
Because of you, I grew up believing that I can learn, build, fix, or accomplish anything I set my mind to π§β¨. That confidence is one of the greatest gifts you have ever given me.
As you begin this new chapter of retirement π΄π, I hope you know how deeply appreciated and loved you both are β€οΈ. The impact you have had on your familyβand on so many othersβcannot be measured.
Congratulations on your retirement! π You have more than earned this time to relax, enjoy life, and make new memories together.
Congratulations on retirement! I remember taking the home ec class in middle school with Mrs. Kendall. I remember doing the sewing corse and making a basketball and hoop pillow. It was fun to have my oldest child take a business course from her as well.
I don't know why this link popped up on my Facebook feed randomly, but it was fun to see! Obviously I did not have either of you for a teacher, but I've known you both for almost a lifetime, so I am happy to leave you a memory. To Becky: the most prominent memory I have of you is probably from Girls Camp at Porcupine Dam when we were probably 12 and 13. We were not allowed to bring swimming suits, so some of us laid out on the riverbank in our undetwear. I have a picture to prove it. To Keven: in 3rd grade you brought a pig heart to school for Show & Tell (or something), and after school you gave it to me. It was the coolest thing ever. Happy retirement to you both. My husband and I are into our 3rd retirement year at this point, and it's great. Enjoy it! You've earned it!
I couldn't imagine where I would be without you two! Thank you for everything! Congrats on retirement Becky and Keven!
- congratulations to both of you!! you deserve only the best.
Mom and Dad...
I don't even know how I'm going to fit how much you mean to me in one little message!
I can't imagine how terrifying it was to find out you were starting over 11 years after you were done. But u took it and ran. God knew the exact perfect parents for me to come to!! He knew I needed you, but I think he also knew our family needed meπ.
You both have always been my rock and believed me when no one else would! You taught me everything I know. I wouldn't be the person I am today without either of you. You taught me to see the silver lining in everything even on the darkest days, or the simplest things. U were (and still areπ ππ ) ready to go to the ER with me at a drop of a hat, even when it's at 2 in the morning! π I'm so greatful to be yours! Thank you for fighting for me and never giving up! I know you always say there was no other choice. But I can guarantee that not a lot of parents let alone people would have chosen the path you did. And both of you took it in strides. I hope one day I'm as good of a parent as you both. I pray I can teach my girls what you taught me!
I wouldn't be here without you! And I hope you know I will always be there for both of you too!
It's been so weird seeing you both get ready to retire! It's so silly but I feel like a proud mama duck watching her babys fly.πππ When you went and rang your "last school bell" and hearing the supe congratulate and praise you, I literally started crying! I am so so proud of you! Seeing you be in a job you love and seeing all of the work you put in to be where you are now... It's truly amazing! There have been hard times, sad times, happy and excited times and I am so greatful to have been there for it all! I truly don't think the Logan School system is going to know what to do without you both! You truly care about every single one of those kids in your classes. And it shows! So SOOO many kids come running up to talk to you or say high or thank you in the wild (outside of schoolππ) but even years down the road after they had kids of their own, they remembered you and thank you for teaching them and for actually caring about them! Logan school district is loosing the 2 best teachers! But honestly, I'm so happy for you both to go into this new chapter! And if u ever get bored and need to b entertained I'll send my girls running to ur house!ππ
Over the river and threw the gate! To Nana's house we go!πππ
I am so so proud and so so greatful for you both! I hope u go on so many cruises! You both have earned it and more!
I love u mom! I love u dad! Thank u for.... Everything! (And I quite literally mean everything!ππ)
Congratulations on retirement! After spending decades teaching other peopleβs kids, you finally get the reward you deserve: helping with ours. All four of them. Frequently.
We know you probably both have visions of relaxing, traveling, and finally enjoying free timeβ¦ but realistically, Keven will be helping me clean and organize my woodshop while strategically avoiding cleaning his own. Itβs important to have purpose in retirement.
Seriously though, weβre so proud of both of you and all the lives youβve impacted over the years. Youβve earned this next chapter, and we canβt wait to watch you enjoy it β preferably while babysitting.
Love you guys, Ryan K.
Aunt Becky and Uncle Kevin are the best. I am so lucky to have had them both as my teachers. Thank you guys so much! Happy retirement.
I had Mrs. Kendall as a teacher at MLMS about 15 years ago! Honestly, I don't remember exactly what subjects but it was more than once. She was that teacher that taught like a mother teaching her children, with love and a want for everyone to succeed! Middle school is a hard time in life and going to her classes always brought a sense of comfort and care about myself as an individual. That is the mark of a truly amazing teacher and I couldn't have been more grateful for her influence! Happy retirement to you both!!
congrajulationa to both of you!! i rememebr Mrs Kendall as a FACS teacher- she had excellent recipes and sewing prohects. I love sewing still, and have now picked uo crocheting! heres to a well deserved retirement β€β€β€
When Mrs. Kendall was calling role on the first day she asked who my dad was, and then proceeded to inform me that we are distant cousins of some sort. Her class was so much fun!
I had Becky as a teacher for FACS at MLMS. I will always remember her as being incredibly positive and happy! I loved her class and amazing classroom, and especially enjoyed one of the stations wherein we got to mock up clothing designs and fashions on paper. I enjoyed it so much, that I brought home a sheet with a clothing model on it so I could make endless copies and draw designs for fun at home! I enjoyed doing this in my spare time durint the school year and in to the summer!
Becky, Congratulations on retirement! What an honorable career you've had in impacting countless lives for the better. What a noble life to have lead, all while raising a wonderful family as well! Enjoy this new phase!
Sincerely, Kristina (Roskelley) Peterson
Mrs. Kendall... I was in your class 24 years ago! That's a little wild... every student that has had you as a teacher is blessed! I loved cooking and sewing with you and went on to make and cook some awesome things β€ Now I have been adopted into the family and love all of my time with the amazing people you've raised! Thanks for everything! Happy Retirement to both of you!!
Mom and Dad,
I am so excited for this next chapter in your lives. After so many years of hard work, dedication, patience, and endurance, you have more than earned it. You have both been such incredible examples to me and to my kids, not just in the way you taught in the classroom, but in the way you showed up, kept going, cared deeply, and gave so much of yourselves to others.
Some of my favorite memories are tied to your years as teachers. I loved being part of the yearbook staff with Mom in middle school and getting to see a little piece of her world from the inside. I loveremembering Dadβs FBLA trip the California trip, and the way those experiences became stories we still remember. And, of course, I will never forget Kenny at dinner saying, βThat was a joke,β which still makes me laugh. Those are the little moments that stick, the ones that become family favorites.
What I love most is that teaching has never just been your job. It is part of who you are. You teach by the way you live, the way you love, the way you serve, and the way you keep learning. I know you will keep using the moments life gives you to teach yourselves, each other, your grandkids, and all the lucky people who get to be part of your lives.
Selfishly, I am also very excited for all the extra time that I and my kids can now happily consume. Consider yourselves warned.
I love you both so much. Cheers to retirement, slow mornings, new adventures, and a well-earned break from lesson plans and grading papers!
